Landfill construction is just one of the diverse work types performed by R.B. Baker Construction. The Wolf Creek Landfill in Dry Branch, Georgia, houses a 2.8 megawatt gas-to-electricity generation facility which serves the local area of Dry Branch. This project includes 240,000 cubic yards of excavation, the installation of 28,000 cubic yards of clay liner and protective covering, 2,700 feet of under drain, 4,000 feet of force main, 9 manholes, and 2,000 feet of collection pipe, and installation of 8” GABC all-weather roads and grassing. The project also requires the permanent installation of a sump assembly to collect the landfill gas used to produce the green renewable electricity.
