Resurfacing Parking Lot

A polymer modified fog seal emulsion was applied to the Duncan offices parking lot over the weekend of June 6, 2017. FasBlack M, a Colas emulsion product, manufactured by Southeast Emulsions was used on the project. This product is used as a fog seal on all types of asphalt pavement surfaces from low volume roads to interstates to extend pavement life. It also has the advantage in parking lot environments to provide pavement preservation benefits while eliminating the environmental and health issues associated with coal tar pavement sealers, as well as eliminating the foul odors given off by coal tar products. An advantage from the applicators point of view is that the severe sunburn experienced with the coal tar product is eliminated. The sealing of the Duncan lots were completed with the help of Brad Pace Asphalt (our FOB customer) to clean and prepare the asphalt surface and Bobby Flint Line Striping for the line painting.
