Your Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) #3 attended their Rapid Improvement Workshop the week of October 10th. All regions were well represented and brought 123 years of experience and knowledge to the table. The first day was spent learning about what is required to improve a company’s Safety Culture. The remaining 3 days consisted of defining, analyzing and developing improvements on “How Can We Improve Annual Safety Day” which was selected by the Reeves Safety Steering Team. The team then had a report out to the Leadership Team and Safety Steering Team on their accomplishments for the week. The team’s purpose is to enhance safety day by making the experience more interesting and informative by engaging all employees, in order to improve our safety culture. The CIT members will be asking subject matter experts and volunteers over the next few months to assist with creating informative breakout sessions by job functions and creating internal safety videos using our employees. Thomas Washington of R.B. Baker Construction said this about being on the CIT: “The work was grueling, intense and challenging but absolutely worth it! I enjoyed it. Thanks so much!!!” If you are interested in helping with this process or being on a future CI Team, contact your regional Safety Steering Team member or your regional representative below.
