This runway resurface started on Runway 10-28 at the Macon Downtown Airport on July 13, 2009. This job is located in the heart of an industrial area in East Macon, Georgia. This job calls for reducing pavement width and asphalt resurfacing.

This project consists of constructing a new parallel taxiway for the existing runway, reconstruction of existing drainage structures, retention pond and upgrade of the existing runway lighting system. There is approximately 7,200 tons of GAB and 1,600 tons of asphalt.

This runway resurface project consisted of building site access road , soil sterilization of runway, and installing single surface treatment # 7, milling at asphalt tie ends, placing 165 #/sy asphalt overlay, final runway markings, and closing runway during construction in accordance with Federal Guidelines.
